Sounds Like
As much as I like and respect my influences, I'm trying to sound like me. If you listen to jazz, you'll hear my influences in my playing, but I don't want to play today what someone else played yesterday - a good copy is still just a copy.
I am glad to announce the release of my debut CD called "Interro Island". This is my first solo project, which includes original tunes composed and arranged by me. I hope you will enjoy my work!
Thanks for your message. Any friend of Ira Sullivan is a friend of mine as well. I have known him since childhood and he & his wife Charlene (a Singer & Painter) have been my musical mentors (outside of my family...)
Always nice to meet another member of Howard's student family! We just recently sent in 5 and 1/2 hours worth of video to Truefire to be converted into Fingerboard Breakthrough on thier website. It was a challenging piece of work, but a great pleasure to be able to work with Howard and learn from him.
Hi Marty...thanks for the add and kind comments! I really dig your playing...beautiful technique and so soulful. If I'm up your way, we can toast one to Howard in between tunes!
Hey Marty - I enjoyed listening to Nocturnum on your page - beautiful tune! What 7 string do you play? I picked up a Benedetto Bucky Pizzarelli 7 a few years ago, and I love it..
