Hi Marty!

I chased you and Richard across the street and into the theater in Dallas, TX before your show in spring 1986. Gave you the pencil drawing I did from the back of Remote Luxury for you to sign. Still have it and treasure it.

You're still beautiful.

Hi Marty - thanks for linking up with us.

Art Groupie Calling For Submissions

Art Groupie is on again this year. Below is info for those that may be interested in participating or know someone who might.

WHAT IS ART GROUPIE: The concept behind Art Groupie is musicians who crossover into visual art. Art Groupie is a bi-annual event and sees the second exhibition take place between 22 - 28 September 2008 at the TAP Gallery in Darlinghurst, Sydney. With each exhibition artists also contribute a musical track to a limited edition hand-packaged CD which is available on opening night on the dadAdA imprint of Groovescooter Records. Art Groupie is a not for profit, fun project, with the sale of artworks going directly artists exhibiting.

SUBMITTING ARTWORK: We ask that 5 or more images (but certainly no less than two) be emailed to us for selection. Please include medium, dimension, description and intended sale prices of pieces. Please note: if photography or work on paper will only be accepted framed. Email submissions to: dadada@groovescooter.com

Hi Marty,

Thanks for the ad, really enjoy the songs on your player, especially Lullaby for the Lonely, Adelle Young and the beats and chiming guitars on No One There.

Must be fun blasting around England on that bike.

Marty -

Thanks for the add! Without a healthy dose of MWP and the Church in my early years I might have never picked up a guitar.

MWP I hate this myspace thing it's so over stimulating... BUT please let me say this: Nightjar presents me the following paradox: Why if the bird has no wings does it soar as it does?

Jun 4 2008 12:21 AM

Hi it would be great if you could make a show in the midwest of the U.S. for either your upcoming tour or the Church's upcoming tour. My dad and I have loved any music associated with the Church, but especially you and Steve Kilbey. Seeing you guys is something we have always wanted to do since I was little. So a stop in Oklahoma, Texas, or Kansas would be excellent! Thanks and hope to see you soon! Great music on the new album.

Jun 1 2008 12:26 PM

Hi Marty, I just read your blog about the US and am now seriously envious! It sounds like such a fun tour. And I see you will now only visit Scandinavia. What can I do to tempt you to play elsewhere in Europe (you know where!) as well?
