   About Mary Humphreys & Anahata
Mary and Anahata specialise in bringing back to life the traditional English songs collected in the early 20th century. Mary has been singing and researching traditional song for years, plays banjo and English concertina, and has some songs in her native Welsh. Anahata adds further instrumental accompaniments on cello, melodeons and Anglo concertina and brings lots of dance tunes to their repertoire.

They have recorded three albums with English music specialist Wild Goose Records.

They have their own web site too where you can buy CDs online, download lyrics and see a full gig list, reviews photos etc.

Mary and Anahata are half of the ceilidh band Fendragon with Dave and Gina Holland.

With Craig;Morgan;Robson they have put together the CHARM show, a musical guided tour of England, Scotland and Wales, to be found at folk festivals, larger folk clubs and other such venues.

Hallo and thank you for your friendship! Your music is great!
Please visit my HP: www. cultevents. de and sign the guestbook if you like!

Music has always been a place where anything is possible - a refuge, a magical world where anyone can go, all kinds of people can come together, and anything can happen.
We are limited only by our imagination. I believe that what we do and learn inside the world of music can affect what goes on in the world in a big, positive way. music is so important - like food and water. There are so many possibilities, and many doors yet to be opened.

Mary and Anahata! Merry christmas! I hope you had a lovely one. - Just emailing to say that on sunday the 30th (this sunday) there is an informal folk evening at the white horse in edwardstone near sudbury . If youve never been, its a really great pub. If you want directions go to http://www.edwardstonewhitehorse.co.uk/ . Also, the session which was at the angel on the 1st thursday in sudbury is now at the waggon and horses in acton square in sudbury, which is a far nicer venue, and the next session is next thursday.

Anyway, i hope that you are both well. Otis x

Hi you sneezy duo

you were wonderful as usual tonight... how lovely to hear traditional carols sung in traditional style and what lovely arrangements. 'Twas a pleasure to hear you. So glad you were there.

Hope you manage to stave off those colds.

If we don't see you before, have a wonderful happy and peaceful Christmas and a super splendid 2008. I hope our paths cross once more before too many moons pass by.

Lots of Love

Like the new songs, especially your version of Prickleye Bush. If you fancy a coffee on your way up to South Shields in November we're only a mile off the A1.

Sorry we didn't meet up at Whitby but spent most of my time in the First In Last Out running the evening session.

Just written this disco folk rock which I thought you might like!

DOING THE NORTHERN ROCK

You do the Northern Rock
Then you do the Northern Roll.
You do the Northern Rock
Then you do the Northern Roll.

You mix it up
With a bit of Northern Soul.
You mix it up
With a bit of Northern Soul.

You stand in line
And then you shout.
You stand in line
And then you shout,

“I’ve come to get my money out.
I’ve come to get my money out!”

Thanks for that offer guys. The good news is that things are improving daily, the pain is almost gone and I can just about hobble without crutches now. I managed to hoist myself up onto the roof today to hang out washing!!! Couldn't get down again of course. Lol.
