silence......sex.......watching bar fights...... ultra clean toilets..filth...rude waiters in expensive restaurants....vulgar brilliant men...other peoples story... disapointment...joy...my own anxious military childhood....kind people...cruel people...my impending life and death like a train pulling into the station.....
Sounds Like
it sounds like a man trying to make the most of his obvious limitations
I'm a delicate flower really...I've never kicked a ball in my life, though I once did kick a girls handbag across a half empty dancefloor just to watch her scamper after it.
I have never had a job, for I believe employment is the surest sign of poverty .
Music, and the wisdom wrapped up inside it has navigated me through this life ever since I left grammar school...
I'd be happy to spend afternoons with other musician/songwriters/stylists/outsiders...
but i'm happiest spending the evenings with roofers, builders, bouncers, gangsters and rough men who've been banged up in jail.
Thanks, M, we left behind a lot, sold some, gave some away, friends looking after some stuff for us in England, as we left a big house in Pembrokeshire to come and live in Spain and when we sold Pembs we didn't have a clue where we'd be living in Spain so didn't know if we'd be able to fit all our stuff in wherever we ended up, and it's a good thing sometimes to have a clear out. We kept all the personal stuff, things that meant a lot to us, and were quite ruthless in shifting other stuff we'd carried around with us since we'd met and started to collect together. 150 piece sof Sylvac porcelain went to auction, I just kept the first piece we'd bought and the chipped pieces that would have been thrown out by the auction house, and I couldn't bear the thought of that. We love where we live now, we really love our house, I'll post some photos on My Space. There's a lot of light in this house and we love that.
And you thought I meant the airblower on the wall didn't you!!! ha ha ha ha ha Those feet were attached to that ass that ...... ha ha ha ...... sick puppy syndrome kickin in here!! ha ha ha *Snort* ha ha ha
Thank you darlin .. now just have to find someone who wants carpet burn! ha ha ha .. Oh no wonder I can't find anyone eh!! ha ha ha So sad the song! ha ha ha
Thanks, M for the photo comment. You see those red and white things on the stairs, they're candles in a plastic cup thingie which make lovely lights at night when they're lit, but we recently discovered they're actually devotional candles the Spanish light at the graves of their loved ones. We been buying hundreds of them every week at the supermercado, so the checkout girl must've been thinking "poor darlings, they must have a lot of dead relatives here".
Mary I already miss NY. The lights, the noise, so many bewitching places you can find on your own. I danced and sang in Union Square in their subway for two hours with the gospel singer Alice Tan Ridley. I met two of my myspace friends who turned out to be delightful. Saw Carrie Fisher in a play and ran on to the stage to hug her:-) I do such things.. Walked around Soho in the rain, found a great restaurant in Harlem. Sat in Elaines restaurant and talked with writers. However you cannot do everything in a few days. I tried my best to get my cousin at whose boyfriends apt. I stayed to tell her to leave him. He is a jerk period.
That clip is priceless - that romany gipsy woman in particular fell right on her face. I'd love to see it done on Griffin - that would probably be a 'meet my wife and sister' situation...
Oh, lol, YOU KNOW, that band that I'm a groupie of. ;-) Hey, only saw them once this year. Next Feb will make 42 times. Palm Springs was really nice. Like, Ooh la la nice!
