Influences
Jonatha, Sheryl Crow, Luther, Mary Chapin Carpenter and lots of wonderful writers....
I'm probably influenced by everything I listen to and I listen to EVERYthing from jazz to country. I'm pretty eclectic. What is in my various CDs and Ipods right this very exact minute? Leonard Cohen, K T Tunstall, Damien Rice ("Cannon Ball" IS the perfect song), Sick Puppies, Ziggy Marley, Sam Cooke, Michael Buble, Lucinda Williams, Snow Patrol, Matt Kearney, James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, Steve Cerney, Shannon Hurley, Shawn Colvin, Lt Smooth, Wicked Soundtrack, Mandy Moore, Colbie Caillat, Keith Urban, Colin Hay, Ani, Rihanna, Michael Miller, Anna Nalick, The Shins, John Mayer, Miranda Lambert, The Wreckers, Elliot Morris, Amber Rhubarth, Deana Carter, Coldplay, Train, Carrie Underwood, a bunch of soul and singer/songwriter compilation CDs, Avril Lavigne, Ingrid Michaelson, Jack Johnson, Gail Swanson, Pussycat Dolls, Jason Feddy, Jenna von Oy, Cindy Alexander, Regina Spector, Rascal Flatts, The Eagles, Paula Cole, James Blunt, Gavin DeGraw, Rhianna, Jonatha Brooke, Des'ree, Oleta Adams, Ne-Yo, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce, Leona Lewis, Timbaland, Nelly Furtado,
My all time faves right now? Fail-safe, to make me feel great like magic for like a year now, I pop in K T Tunstall's Eye to The Telescope or Ziggy Marley's "Love Is My Religion". Although I did have quite a love-fest the other day riding my bike along the ocean listening to Michael Buble, I just LOVE the horn section on "The Best Is Yet To Come" and "Everything" just plain tickles me. Oh, how Jon McLaughlin's "Beautiful Disaster" moves me...
I also listen to so much other stuff on myspace too. I can listen to Kevin Montgomery's "Nothing" 5 times a day sometimes. I love that song. I discover cool new stuff here all the time.
"Mary Coppin's music is an elixir for the soul. With her smart lyrics about love and loss, and a never ending eye for irony, Coppin's music moves you to tears and reflection. Buy her CD!!!!", Helen Slater, actress/singer/songwriter.
"Mary Coppin's voice has a magical quality, somewhere between Natalie Merchant and The Kinleys that cuts through the ordinary and can literally hush a noisy club. Her Pop/rock/folk songs take you on a journey from evocative questions to joyful answers", Chris Boardman, film composer, Mel Gibson's "Payback".
Hi if you would like to friend me, please send me a little note along with the request, (I'm a "real" connection kinda songwriter, not really into winning the contest of having 14,000 pretend friends/fans, eeeww),
Hello dear Mary! How are you doing? Here in Basel it snowed yesterday the first time in this year! I wish you and yours a merry Christmas! A beautiful & peaceful time! (Hey and by the way, I can tell you that I am new on iTunes. Makes me happy to be part of it, hihi.) Lots of love <3 Adrian
I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
If you have more questions about the European music market or about any of the information I send to you today, please contact me at Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de too.

I lost a bunch of myspace friends somehow, but the real ones come back... let's write when I'm back from Texas... hope you're doin' good.... Hi to Raymond..
Aloha Mary! Come on home! Warren misses those Manago outings with Ray as well. Kerry's party was certainly a night to remember - change was in the air and movement was being celebrated already with Obama's inauguration. Hope all things have changed for the good in your neck of the woods as well. Much aloha to you and Ray.
thanks so much for the friend request and kind words! i hope we do see you in san juan...please introduce yourself if you come...unless you're wearing a bikini and running away from me! -Q
As a matter of fact, that was actually a filmed documentary series about my life. The network thought animating it and portraying me as a rodent would instill less fear in the public. Pinky was not based on a real person, but was an amalgamation of several people in my life at the time. Eventually, I grew tiresome of the cameras intruding upon my privacy and terminated the program.
I hope that you continue to spawn your art. If everyone was as nice as you, I would not have to enslave the planet.
Pretty stressfull right now... my daughter is back in Germany, but we were on the Big Island a couple of days. Miss her, miss the BI.
I am still not straight with my publisher.... and still not writing as much as I want to.. or at least finishing my pre-prods. Finishing 2 productions, and than!!!!!!!!
