Human Rights, small dogs, letter writing, mixed-media, arabica coffee, works in progress, the photography of Diana Arbus, transitional neighborhoods, a new idea, a brave moment, an open mind...oh, I guess I'm supposed to list my musical influences here. I can't really say who "influences" my writing, however, I can list who's music I emotionally react to: Lucinda Williams, Paul McCartney, Aimee Mann, John Hiatt, Dolly Parton, Shawn Colvin, Radio Head, The Pretenders, The Violent Femmes, Sheryl Crow, Edi Brickell, Ani DiFranco, Dwight Yoakam, Steve Earl, Indigo Girls, The Cranberries, Neil Young, The Sundays, Joan Jett, Bob Dylan, Cowboy Junkies, Fleetwood Mac, Sam Phillips, Rickie Lee Jones, Annie Lennox, Billy Bragg, Bonnie Riatt, Johnny Cash, Linda Perry, Bono, The Smiths, The Cure, Blondie.

You were FABULOUS opening for John Hiatt on Friday evening! Just a flawless performance, I was very impressed. You exuded confidence and really carried yourself well. Great songs and great performance, I think you really got the crowd's attention with just you and the guitar. Not too many people can do that. Very well done! You R-O-C-K!
