About me:
I'm the author of The Miles Between, which just came out in September. My other books are The Adoration of Jenna Fox, A Room on Lorelei Street, Scribbler of Dreams, and David v. God.

Reviews, buzz, and chatter for The Adoration of Jenna Fox:
"Outstanding examination of identity, science and ethics . . . Pearson reveals the truth layer by layer, maintaining taut suspense and psychological realism"–KIRKUS starred review

"Pearson uses each revelation to steadily build tension until the true horror comes into focus. Even then Pearson does not stop; she raises the ante in unexpected ways until the very last page . . . expert plotting"–PUBLISHERS WEEKLY starred review

"This is a beautiful blend of science fiction, medical thriller, and teen-relationship novel that melds into a seamless whole that will please fans of all three genres."--SCHOOL LIBRARY JOURNAL starred review

". . . this provocative exploration of bioethics is heightened by the portrait of a family under enormous stress and the subtle thematic threads of faith and science woven through the story, making this a thriller with uncharacteristic literary merit." --The Horn Book Magazine

"That adolescence is universally a time of reinvention and fear, of feeling lost and feeling alone makes THE ADORATION OF JENNA FOX an ultimate futuristic nightmare of a coming of age story."--Richie's Picks

"One of the delightful things about getting ARCs is being among the first readers to lay hands on a remarkable book and then having the pleasure of shouting from the mountaintops about this exquisite thing you've found . . . It must be the same feeling that editors get when an "it" manuscript crosses their desks. THE ADORATION OF JENNA FOX is that kind of book." --David Gill, ALAN President

"this book belongs in schools, and on the shelves of every thinking person out there." --advanced.reader bookseller blog

"Pearson has outdone herself and this should be a runaway success."--The Reading Zone

"remarkable . . . true fiction at its best . . . perfectly conceived and delivered." --Teri Lesesne, Goddess of YA Literature

"This is an amazingly powerful, thought-provoking, just brilliant novel." --Teen Book Review

" . . . a stunning, fascinating novel." --Little Willow

" . . . fascinating and thought provoking." -- Janis Flint-Ferguson, Kliatt

"Blew. Me. Away. This book was sooooo good." --Oops . . . Wrong Cookie, Texas Librarians Book Blog

Quotes, Reviews, and Honors for A Room on Lorelei Street:
..• "Pearson sophisticatedly crafts a quietly cramped, small-town Texas community. All literary elements . . . seamlessly and poetically coalesce" --KIRKUS ..

• Masterfully written . . . Highly Recommended." --BRENDA ETHRIDGE FERGUSON, Library Media Connection

• "Pearson’s book sings. Its exquisite language paints rooms and characters with vivid three-dimensional colors making it difficult to believe that we are reading fiction. A Room on Lorelei Street is a must buy for sophisticated high school readers . . . "--ED SPICER, Michigan Reading Journal

• "This is no doubt one of the most powerful books of the year." --DIANA TIXLER HERALD, Genrefluent

• "Pearson's wrenching novel pierces the heart and ultimately delivers hope." --DES MOINES REGISTER

Wow, thanks.  I turned the pages too quickly the first time, it deserves a second to take it in slowly, carefully, because I'm sure I missed something.

I'm bumbed out... I went looking for Scribbler of Dreams but none of the bookstores I checked had it!  I'm the type that likes to re-read a good book, but I've yet to re-read that one

Hey Mary! I finally got around to reading another one of your novels--A Room on Lorelei Street. Wow. It was just as good as Jenna Fox, and once again I was really connected with the main character. Thank you for writing such great books that have such truth and honesty.

Here's my review, if you'd like to take a look: http://misserinmarie. blogspot. com/2009/03/room-on-lorelei-street. html

Thanks for the add! I got my daughter a copy of The Adoration of Jenna Fox for Christmas, but I read it last night-she hasn't gotten to it yet! It was so, so much more than expected, and I expected a good mystery. I look forward to reading more of your work.
