Mary-Grace Koile released her first full length album "Your/Self" on November 22nd!
Born and raised in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Mary-Grace Koile is an enlightened young artist with an old soul. Her songs are compassionate, warm and emotionally grounded. Using a unique playing style that encompasses a labyrinth of guitar tunings, she weaves a tapestry.
Committed to building a life as a songsmith, Mary-Grace is making friends and gathering respect in the Halifax music community. She has appeared as a backup vocalist for Andru Branch, David Myles, Christina Martin, Anew Airship, and Ryan Mcgrath, among many others.
Recent performances include "In the Dead of Winter" festival (recorded by CBC Radio) and Music Nova Scotia Week (where she was nominated for Inspirational Album of the Year).
Mary-Grace's band includes the talented and tuned-in Mike Ritchie (keys, guitar); Mark Bachynski (drums); and Phil MacKenzie (bass) . Their sound is jazz-folk-influenced, with alluring soundscapes and moving rhythms.
Mary-Grace is hitting the road with her smooth vocals and inspirational lyrics this summer. She's bound to touch the soul of the whole nation.
