Band MembersMary has worked with many fine musicians including Danny Thompson, Ralph McTell, Brian Willoughby, Tony Visconti, Pop Arts String Quartet, Benny Gallagher, Bruce Lynch, Morgan Visconti... too many to name here but all fine people.
Sounds LikeMary Hopkin. Draw your own comparisons. Just be warned that Mary doesn't always sound like she did on TWTD and is always experimenting. Keep an eye out for new albums to hear what she can do.

   About Mary Hopkin

IF Mary was on Myspace, she would indeed be here, but as it is, she doesn't do this sort of thing, leaving it all up to the dedicated team at her own record label, Mary Hopkin Music.

Mary's fans will know all about how she shot to fame in 1968. Twiggy, Paul McCartney, Apple, Those Were the Days, etc. So we're not going to go into that.

What we will tell you is what she's been up to recently. If you've read the papers in the last few months you'll know that she's sung on Dolly Parton's new album and lives in a chateau in the South of France, where she can only be reached by carrier pigeon. We'll let that one stick.

In moving to the chateau, she unearthed some recordings that were made between 1970 and the present day, and she has been persuaded to release them album by album on condition that she doesn't have to do anything.

Mary doesn't tour, gig, give interviews, give autographs, pose for photos, etc etc any more. Requests for this sort of thing probably won't get a reply, and for this we apologise. If the mood does take you, feel free to leave comments or messages for Mary and they may get passed on, but again, we can't give replies to these.

    How is life?
I put a new song up: “Touch of Night”. Might be a good soundtrack for the upcoming summer nights.

Let me cerebrate Mary's Happy Birthday, May the 3rd.
You are now added one more beauty to your charm.
Mary, do you remember the kaleidoscope you bought in Japan on the Expo'70 tour? The scope was developed in Scotland and the one you have is decorated with Japanese traditional hand-made paper, Wa-shi.
This is my present for your happy birthday.
Look into my blog in myspece and also please visit my site:

    For Mary and all fans.
Best wishes from Far East Japan.

    This was the set list:

Listen to the Ocean (in Welsh from "Y Caneuon Cynnar")
Streets of London (from "Earth Song")
The Sparrow (from "Live at Royal Festival Hall")
With a Little Help from my Friends (from "Live at Osaka Expo"
There's No Business Like Show Business (from Postcard)
    "Walk Right In" (from "Sundance")
"Aderyn Pur" (from "Live at Royal Festival Hall")
"Love Dust" (featuring Freddie Jones from the compilation "Produced by George Martin")
    "Ocean Song" (from "Earth Song")

I would've played Hobby Horse "Summertime" and "I'm Going to Fall In Love Again", but we don't needles for our record players. Those are my two favorites. Also, some Oasis would've been nice.

    Thanks for the Add!
Don't forget to check out the free podcasts of Pop Go the Beatles.
According to Robin Roberts in her review of the show in the Beatles British Fan Club Magazine:
"Whether you're a true Beatlemaniac or a casual fan, these shows are a joy to listen to. They have it all: Interviews, some very rare and unheard of, rare studio outtakes, live performances, and just plain fun that only the Fab 4 can provide. I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to these radio shows and I know you will as well. They're gems that will proudly adorn any Beatles' fan's collection for many years to come".
And according to Ronnie of Ear Candy Magazine in his review of the show:
"I can honestly say that Pop Go the Beatles is probably THE best Beatles radio series that I've heard - especially from a Beatle fan's perspective and what THEY would expect from a Beatles show"
You can find a direct link to the free podcasts through the show's website

Thanks for adding me as a friend Mary. You still have the pure voice of an angel which is great as some years have gone bye since " Those were the days." Traditional Folk style music still has the earthy human qualities that people really relate to without preconception. You are a gem!!!
