| General | Professional: Contemporary museums and galleries, collective memory, memories of immigration, the represenation of the past and the use of history in contemporary France, Franco-North African relations, postcolonial literature and theory, cross-channel (mis)understandings, new technologies for research in the humanities.
Professionels: Les musées contemporains, la mémoire collective, les mémoires d’immigration, la représentation et l’usage de l’histoire de de la mémoire dans la France d’aujourd’hui, les rapports franco-maghrébins, théorie et littérature post-coloniale, les (més)ententes franco-britanniques, l’application des nouvelles technologies dans la communication de la recherche scientifique (arts, sciences sociales).
Personal: sustainable living, vegetarian cooking, cycling, discovering new bits of Paris, playing the violin, singing, music of all sorts (classical, world, folk, anything I can dance to, electro/techno), learning languages.
Personnels: l’ecologie, la cuisine végétarienne, cyclisme, la découverte des quartiers insolites, violon, chant, la musique (classique, musiques du monde, folklorique, éléctro/techno, tout ce qui fait danser), les langues.

I am a UK PhD student, registered at University College London. I am in France researching the reconfiguration of national identity in contemporary French museums and specifically the project for the the project for a national museum of immigration (Cité nationale de l’histoire de l’immigration: www.histoire-immigration.fr) opening in 2007.
Je suis doctorante britannique, inscrite à University College London. Je suis en France pour mener une recherche autour de la réinvention de l’identité nationale dans les musées français et en particulier dans la Cité nationale de l’histoire de l’immigration (date d’ouverture prévue : printemps 2007).

Who I'd like to meet:
Other research students working on similar issues, anyone living in Paris and especially in the 20e who'd like to meet up to chat about the issues, anyone with an experience of memory projects linked to immigration (especially in a museum or gallery context), museum professionals or volunteers interested in my research, other PhD students or freelance researchers looking to meet new people in Paris.
D’autres chercheurs ayant des centres d’intérêt comparables, toute personne résidant à Paris (surtout dans le 20e) désirant parler de ces sujets, ceux qui ont une expérience des projets de mémoire, surtout dans le domaine de l’immigration et sa mise en scène dans les galeries et les musées, les personnes travaillant dans les musées qui puissent être intéréssées par ma recherche, les doctorants/chercheurs actuellement sur Paris qui souhaitent faire des rencontres.
