After 7 years, roughly 200 different bands representing 18 countries, and several venue changes, the Maryland Deathfest (or "MDF" for short) has developed into the premier underground metal festival in the United States, and one of the most talked about festivals internationally.
The concept of MDF is simple: to bring to the United States the best and most extreme bands the underground has to offer. Never conforming to trends, or being limited by genre restrictions, MDF is a showcase of what extreme music, both new and old, is capable of. With an emphasis on diversity, the festival brings together the very best death metal, grindcore, black metal, thrash, experimental and hardcore bands from all around the world. With bands from all over the U.S. and Canada, and exclusive fly ins and rare appearances from some of the most in demand bands from Europe, Australia, and Japan, the diversity of the lineup is only surpassed by the diversity of MDF's rabid fan base, who annually travel from all over the world for a weekend of fun and music.
Since MDF's inception in 2003, festival organizers Ryan and Evan have continued to strive to bring together some of the most legendary bands in the scene and some of the most talked about up-and-coming bands in the underground for an unparalleled experience. Combining the DIY attitude of two young metal fans who are actually part of the scene instead of trying to exploit it, with a refreshing professional touch, MDF is year after year given high marks for being one of the best run and most organized festivals around.

We are right now recording an EP that will be entitled "...Torture, Pain, Suffering, Death...". The EP will be composed of 3 new tracks and a cover song. It will be the group's first new material since the new and tried out lineup was announced.
The next step, after a visit to the recording studio, will be a music video. The fall will bring a tour during which Distres will be promoting the new material. The tour will not be short of some of the most renowned bands of the Polish underground.

Hail Satan! STURMGEWEHR 666’ recording session goes right along with the schedule. After successful and effective recordings of vocals, solos and samples now comes the turn for bass guitar. The date has been scheduled for 06/06/2009. It’s still too early to judge what the final effect could be but so far everyone involved in production of the 2nd STURMGEWEHR 666’ album is more than satisfied! New 13 hymns sound strong, brutal, dynamic yet with a bit of diabolic melody! Be ready for UNHOLY DEATH METAL!!! STURMGEWEHR 666 2nd album title is: “Challenging CrossReich Cowards” Horns Up &thanks for support S666 troops /Thailand, Chiang Mai/.
