Hope you enjoy my tunes!
It's been a busy few weeks for me. I attended the screening of the new Philip Ridley film last week. The film is called Heartless and was being premiered at the Frightfest Film Festival at The Empire in Leicester Square. I sing on 4 of the tracks in the film which will also be on the soundtrack. It's a spectacular film which will blow your mind. So you must go and see it when it hits the cinemas. It will be released February 2010.
Aside from exciting red carpet fun...I've had the great pleasure of recording at Steve Winwood's studio - working on my debut album which is due for release early 2010. The studio is such a beautiful space to work in and I have a wonderful team of people around me. So far I have recorded 4 tracks two of which are now playing as samples on my page. Just a little teaser for you to get in to. The other tracks up there are front room mixes of some songs recorded acoustically in the studio quite some time ago now.
Keep an eye out for new pics and a whole new look to the site soon. We're heading back to the studio on the 20th September to get cracking on completing the album. Bloody exciting!!
Aside from all the writing and recording I've been co-writing for a new film which is due for release next year so I'll keep you posted on this!
For now, hope you've had an awesome summer and I'll see you soon, Mary x
