I was the lead singer of Madder Rose (alternapop band on Atlantic in the 1990s- 4 albums, lotsa touring,and YouTube clips) before creating Mary Lorson and Saint Low (3 albums on Cooking Vinyl and lotsa tv placements). In 2007-8 released album with The Piano Creeps (one-off cool project with cohorts Billy Cote and Kathy Ziegler). I'm also a film composer with Billy Cote (most notably "What Remains," an HBO/BBC documentary on the amazing photographer Sally Mann) and a writer. Right now I'm working as Mary Brett Lorson and the Soubrettes, readying a new album of music along with a theater piece on the vaudevillian Eva Tanguay.
