Au carrefour de la chanson et des musiques acoustiques nord-américaines, le groupe Mary-Lou revisite depuis 1996 avec humour et tendresse un imaginaire qui, de l'épopée acadienne à la Grande Dépression des années 30, offre de nombreuses similitudes avec notre actualité. Cette synthèse unique entre influences musicales du sud des USA et compositions originales en français a fait de Mary-Lou l'un des principaux représentants du courant americana et folk francophone. Après avoir parcouru la France pendant 3 ans avec la tournée ESCALES TRANSATLANTIQUES qui faisait suite à l'album "Courrier Transatlantique", le trio a enregistré à l'hiver 2012 un nouvel album "Music Medecine Show" qui verra le jour début juin. Suivra une nouvelle tournée pour présenter cet album au public. Mary : chant, guitare, violon, washboard Jean-Luc : chant, guitare, harmonica, accordéon Stéphane : piano, choeurs, parfois accompagnés par Benoît Perset : batterie, percussions, choeurs. Mary-Lou a joué dans de nombreux festivals, fêtes de plein air, fêtes de villages, salles petites et grandes. 1300 concerts, 6 albums, 1dvd. At the crossroads between american acoustic music and french songs, the Mary-Lou band has been playing since 1996 his americana "with a french touch" on the roads of Europe and America. With 1300 concerts, 6 cd's and a dvd, this one of a kind band became one of the most important in the folk and americana french landscape. The band has been asked to be included in the compilation "France Bluegrass 2" released in 2009 with a title of their 6th cd "Comme qui dirait". Mary and Jean-Luc also appear as "THE HOBOES" with "Miss the Mississippi and you" on the same compilation. Mary-Lou has been writing french words on their music for years, but they also love to play covers of old country and folk songs.
