Who I'd like to meet: a talking mushroom, Santa, Dorothea Tanning, the little creepy monster on that foot cream commercial that climbs under people's nails, Leonora Carrington, the ghost of Bob Ross, Max Ernst, Leonor Fini, Somone who lives along the yellow brick road, Kay Sage, Frida Kahlo, Remedios Varo, one the people who cans my Chef Boyardee, one of Bob Ross's happy little trees, Jesus, and a partridge in a pear tree (preferably a talking one)
I will be selling my jewelry at the Iowa State Fair, This Friday the 21st. I will be at Art Under the Tent. So plan on coming to the fair and come and see my new jewelry creations. I will be set up from 10am - 8pm. See You There.

Metro Arts is now accepting applications for Two Rivers Expo, the November arts festival held at Hy-Vee Hall in downtown Des Moines. 150 artists will be accepted in 13 categories: 2D mixed media, 3D mixed media, ceramics, drawing, glass, fiber, jewelry, metal, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and wood.
You can apply by visiting Zapplication.org, finding Metro Arts Two Rivers Expo under "Participating Shows" and creating a profile. The application fee is $35, and all applications must be received by May 15.

Culture Inc. will be hosting a reception for artist James Goetz, March 21st from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and 5:30-7:30 p.m. During the reception Rachel Rockwell and artist James Goetz will briefly be sharing the amazing realistic and measurable what impact the arts have on at-risk youth. Culture Inc. is located at 3619 6th Ave, Des Moines Iowa 50313, across from Chuck's Italian Restaurant.
