About me:

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by. My name is Mary Quast and I am proud to be a romance writer. I'm a member of Romance Writers of America and a Romance Diva.

I am the author of contemporary romance with a twist and the sensual Soul Series. Puzzola is a gifted artist who captures the soul of a person when he paints a portrait. Hidden within every portrait is a story of love and freedom but not without a painful cost.



Book 1- "Painted Soul", is a story that takes the reader on a wonderful ride in an artist’s life, through the streets of London, and into the shadows of the underground.

Book 2 - "Tormented Soul" is an erotic romance with a bit of mystery and alot of soul. I guarantee you won't be able to put it down.



Book 3 - "Lonely Soul", is a book that will lift you spiritually and leave you wanting more.



Book 4 - "Fortunate Soul", is curently a work in progress but will take you on a visual and sensual adventure.



As a professional artist, I learned to answer the call to express myself creatively. While attending Alma College, I learned to write descriptively and after years of writing for myself I'm allowing readers the opportunity to examine the minds and lives of the wonderful characters I've created in the late night hours.

I consider myself a storyteller. I see the stories with my mind’s eye and use words as my palette to paint the lives of my characters. Through intense research and descriptive narratives, I hope to bring these stories to life and allow readers to use the covers of my books as doors to open into adventures of love in wonderful locations.

Other than being a romance writer, I also write editorials, poems, short stories, and Christian works.

    The Moon is a card of magic and mystery - when prominent you know that nothing is as it seems, particularly when it concerns relationships. All logic is thrown out the window.

    The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial; if you have any past mental problems, you must be vigilant in taking your medication but avoid drugs or alcohol, as abuse of either will cause them irreparable damage. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight. You can and should trust your intuition.

  • Music

    Music inspires me. I have to give credit and thanks to musicians and composers. Looking back at my manuscripts, I could tell you what I was listening to as I wrote.

    I enjoy listening to the wind and rain outside my window or nature sounds & music on disk. I also listen to Blues, (BB King is THE Man!) Jazz, Coffeehouse, meditative music and world tunes.

    Soundtracks: Phantom of the Opera, Spiderman, Final Fantasy X, Underworld, The Last Kiss...

    As for "regular" music, my favorites include Nine Inch Nails, Gorillaz, Red, Fuel, AFI, any band with a number in the name and I've been sampling the latest in indie rock.

    I don't get to see much other than Nick or Disney. I do try to catch CSI. Recently I've gotten into the series on HBO - Hung and True Blood.

  • Heroes

    My dad, a WWII hero and mine - he taught me alot spiritually about myself and others. My mom - for encouraging me to read.
