Blige. Mary prepared Nicole Kidman.. for her Golden Globe Award winning and Oscar nominated performance in her first musical, Baz Luhrman's Moulin Rouge. She taught the stars of John Turturro's musical movie Romance & Cigarettes to sing, including Kate Winslet, James Gandolfini and Bobby Cannavale. Mary is called upon by Disney to teach the stars for the Broadway and touring companies of Elton John's Aida and The Lion King, Phil Collins' Tarzan, and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Bombay Dreams. Mary is the voice teacher to the star of Love Never Dies in London and The Little Mermaid on Broadway, Sierra Boggess, and recently prepared Aida Turturro for her Broadway singing debut in Chicago. .... ..Mary teaches internationally.. giving Vocal Workshops in New York City, Los Angeles, Italy and Russia. I learned so much listening to Bette Midler, Linda Ronstadt, the Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel growing up. I love the journies you go on with Dido, Sting, Damien Rice, Shaun Colvin, Alison Krauss, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Maria Callas, Nancy Lamott, Rosemary Clooney, my favorite old timers Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon, James Taylor, Kenny Rankin, Cat Stevens, anything written by Jimmy Webb, the stylings of Frank Sinatra, K.D. Lang, Mamas and the Papas, Mina, Andrea Bocelli, Indigo Girls, Nat King Cole, Tina Turner, and who should be famous: Maritri, Rob Miller, Terry Wollman, Patti Linsky, and Dominique Plaisant.
