Sounds Like
My sound vibes come from inside of me.
My music has a Lithuanian polka influence cultured with a Beatles, Mary Travers, & Bob Marley groove, and plenty of love & sunshine! How's that for a combo?

Little Pony Express
Mary Christine (aka Ukelady), a fun natured, soul driven singer-songwriter from western Maine, presents catchy original songs and folksy favorites. Her lyrical melodies celebrate country living, love and hope. They flow with rhythm and a style for all ages. From a musical family in the Boston area and influenced by the Beatles and Folk Music of the 60's & 70's, Mary offers an array of originals and covers on her custom concert ukulele, eight string tenor uke, & acoustic guitar, blending FOLK, AMERICANA, COUNTRY-POP, BLUES & BALLADS, CHILDREN'S SONGS, and SOUL, often including old timey tunes by June Carter, Woody Guthrie, and Willlie Nelson.
Raised on Mozart, Lithuanian polkas and classical piano as a child, she moved on to learning guitar as a teen. In 2001 she spontaneously discovered the joy of playing ukulele while performing the Tin Pan Alley classic song "Ukulele Lady" at her musical debut in the tropics where Mary became known as the Ukelady. But she still loves her guitar and has been playing both throughout Maine communities. Mary is also a longtime promoter of local original music, currently co-hosting and co-producing the Oxford Hills' community television program "Mainely Acoustic", FMI & Videos see www.myspace.com/mainelyacoustic

"Ticklin' The Strings" by Sweet Hollywaiians
Amazing Japanese hot string band playing 1920's, 30's, 40's style hawaiian, swing, calypso, blues, italian music and originals, featuring vintage instruments.3 songs with Robert Armstrong and Tony Marcus(from Robert Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders)
"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff
