I apply many adjustments to your song, as needed, to optimize its playback sound quality. Here are some of the typical adjustments and effects that i makes to each song on an album.

EQ :
I determine the current spectral content. A 300-band EQ adjustment can be made to the song to shift it, as needed, to more closely match a preferred spectral curve. So that songs that are lacking in impact, body or clarity can gain these characteristics, while songs that already exhibit these features are left practically unchanged.

Peak trim :
I also look for excessive volume peaks. These peaks are then trimmed slightly so that they still maintain dynamic presence, but no longer take up too much headroom. In this way your whole song can gain up to an additional 2dB of volume headroom, without loss of dynamics.

Volume envelope shaping :
Many songs have softer and louder sections. I applies smoothing/shaping to the volume envelope in order to balance inordinate disparity between differing volume level segments of the song. It also increases the overall apparent volume level of the song.

Stereo widening :
I create low-level left-right channel widening so that monaural sound centered between the Left and Right channels sound slightly broader and blends in better with left- and right-panned stereo sounds. This step also provides the dithering "random jitter" that helps improve the accuracy of the audio signal when down sampling to final CD audio quality.

Compression/dynamics :
I also applie a dynamics/compression adjustment to maximize volume level and set dynamic range appropriate for media playback. This final effect, when combined with the other volume shaping effects, gives you the maximum possible volume level for all the songs on your album and provides consistent volume from track to track and CD to CD. This effect also makes your songs radio and broadcast ready.

DC offset removal :
I remove any DC Offset that can limit maximum volume headroom.

Normalization :
I also normalizes your song so that you can achieve the maximum output volume level for digital media playback.

I listen critically to the mastered audio track to ensure that the end result is of the highest quality. I do not however write to a Gold Reference Disc or provide CD duplication, therefore reducing your our cost and lowering your price. I will send you the MASTERED material via email directly to you using the provided email address sent to me when i received the audio files. I typically have your MASTERED music available between 24 to 48 hours, however i can not be held responsible if due to unforeseen events there is a delay in processing times.
