If you live in Bakersfield, you know the Latino community is growing quickly. In fact, 42% of Kern County residents are Latino and that percentage is expected to reach 50% by 2009.
But did you know that two-thirds of Latinos in Kern County are English-speaking or bilingual? Más is a new weekly magazine for this community, written in English for Latinos interested in Hispanic culture, lifestyle and issues. It's for Latinos who are proud of their heritage and want to stay in touch with their roots.
Local people are at the heart of Más. Every week, you'll find lots of pictures and success stories from the community. Más also will feature articles about important issues in the areas of health, education, family and the workplace. And if you're looking for the latest in Latin entertainment news or fun things to do on the weekend, Más has that covered, too!
Más is delivered FREE in Bakersfield EVERY MONTH!
Have a story, photo or idea for Más? Send it to us for possible publication in a future edition!
