howdy neighbour, glad you arrived safely and new york is suiting you. from my american excursion i recommend you talk very loudly in coffeeshops, exagerating your accent and using old timey words, this can sometimes end with free or discounted drinks. it may also get you mugged though. I saw sunburned hand playing with hawk and a hacksaw at this festival in cambridge the other day, it was in a church and they ran about wearing animal headgear.
