Masonik is a Vj, turntable & live instrument project exploring Dub. The live performances feature live musicians, turntables, custom cut vinyl, digital effects, beats & video projections. Masonik offer a rich immersive soundscape, synchronised with live video image & textures.
Masonik operates as a Temple or Lodge that performs with many guest musicians to add to the sample base of the Masonik sound.
Masonik are equally at home in a variety of venues - from pubs & clubs to galleries & festivals.
Masonik’s live Dub specifically draws from rare sources including spoken word, world music and film. Their track, 4th Degree Cremaster Dub, which samples New York artist Matthew Barney, was recently featured on www.cremasterfanatic.com Musical references range from Arabic, Jewish, Greek, Indian and Pakistani, fused with jazz, blues & hip-hop. These sounds combined with smooth dub beats give Masonik a unique musical palette.

Likewise, apologies for not being able to indulge in conversation. We were quite reluctant to test our amps during the part of your set that was during our line check as we didn't mind to ruin what you guys were doing.
We certainly hope to do it again also. We were quite un-happy with our set within the grand scheme but in the end emerged relatively unscathed.
