Andy Mason, is a local folk singer/songwriter/musician. A Bay Area native, his songs are crafted around local happenings, social movements, political issues, hometown pride and raw human experiences. Expect to here songs about the iraq war, pollution, frustrations with modern life, cops, women, booze, and being thirsty. His songs are reminiscent of Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings.

Excellent singer/songwriter folk CD. Pick up a copy today! “Songs From Town” from the talented folk singer/songwriter Andy Mason is an ear-opening audio experience! Tackling real-life political, social, and personal issues, the contents of these “Songs From Town” are very intimate, meeting listeners on a very personal level. The CD features Andy's clever and thoughtful lyrics and songwriting. Vocally, Andy consistently delivers great tone and emotion. “Alhambra Way” shows off Andy’s skillful acoustic guitar work and fit-for-folk vocals. A lack of heavy production and the use of only acoustic guitars and harmonica add to the warm, intimate appeal of this CD. Fans of Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash will personally connect to these honest reflections!

I am just reading this article from the Sf Gate-a buddy had just sent me this. The figures are astounding as far as poverty in our very own San Francisco Bay Area goes.
I think as bay area artists, we have the power as well as duty to collaborate and really make a difference. Fleeting Trance and myself and other acts and you the patrons raised over 50 cans last year at just one singular event. I am not the best at booking shows-but I am one hell of a promoter...so lets collaborate if you are interested...
My attempts to create an Open at the Mama Buzz Cafe have failed. The will be no open mic at the Mama Buzz cafe. The "Every Second Sunday" open mic has been double booked for the second month in a row. It is clear I'm not suited to be the host of an open mic. Thank you all for your interest and support. My sincerest apologies to all musicians poets that hoped and even planned for this open mic.
Just dropping by to say hi and thanks for the friendship! Also I'm playing a show tomorrow night at The Union Room in SF to raise awareness for missing persons. Hope you can check it out! Cheers, Katie

We saw you at the Roswell Library. We wanted to catch you at Northpark in Dallas but couldn't make it. I need to know how to order some kids songs. My 2 yr old won't stop singing "everybody likes pizza" and my stepdaughter is obsessed with the burrito song.
