played our FINAL CONCERTS in MARCH 2006 IN FRANCE
- it has been an adventure which for some (see Justine's new band HEY
GRAVITY!) will continue, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the many of U that have supported us both here and at live concerts over the past three years..
for those that don't know the story......
M.A.S.S. formed in London, releasing our first single in
the summer of 2002.
Our musical journey has been an 'interesting' one to say the least... apart
from DJ John
Peel, who gave us so much early support (we will always miss
him), the UK music business was a bit scared of a girl fronted rock band
originating from the UK, sometimes it can be a bit of a boys club.. but
quite quickly we found ourself being courted by France. We started to tour
there and started to live there, in Nantes and France is where we signed
the record deal for our first album 'REVOLUTION' which
came out on Barclay Records in June 2004.
M.A.S.S. have played gigs with The Libertines, The Dresden Dolls, Peaches,
Razorlight,
Bloc Party,
Hot Hot Heat and a few more that made less of an impression. Getting out there and playing live has been really important to us and we have literally clocked up 10's of thousands of miles across the UK and Europe, spreading the M.A.S.S. word.
I´m really sorry to hear that you guys split up....I love your LP and I always use it in my DJ Sets...so Hey Gravity (M.A.S.S. songtitle..isn´t it ?) is the new Project, I see !
I will check it definitely out !
