Once upon a time there was a little boy who nobody liked. He was weird. And he wasn't very good at making friends. So he watched movies. Lots and lots of movies. He liked movies. Then that boy went to high school where he discovered that not only did the boys not like him, but the girls REALLY didn't like him. And they wouldn't date him. So while other kids were out on dates, he stayed home and watched more movies. Eventually, the people he knew began to come to him with movie questions - who was in this and which movie is that. He found he was very good at that.
So he watched even more movies. And eventually someone asked him to write about them. Then someone else did. And one day Our Hero wound up writing for Ain't-it-Cool News. And the rest is history.

Oh, and d20 fans, did I mention he wrote a book? Or at least part of one. It's called the Tome of Artifacts and you can buy it at your local FLGS, here at Amazon.com, the digital download version here at Drivethru RPG, or you could simply check out the 6 page demo PDF - which features the first page of one of my proud creations - The Altar of the Bone Citadel.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who finds me funny. You can never have too many of those people around.
Happy goldurn birthday there, ol' buddy. Got to tell you that I enjoyed hanging with you and Jess at the Bob e Q. Not only were there many laughs, there was also good coversation in general.
Even if you had never done anything worthwhile before and never did again, the line about wanting to punch Billy Ray if one is anything like you would, by itself, wholly justify your career as a critic.
So this whole "Wolverine" debacle is really painting your cohorts as a bunch of industrial-sized hypocrites. Sad, really. (I mean we all pretty much knew but...)
