On Saturday 16 May, at the room Ipogeo of the monumental site of Annunziata (Naples), it will take place the inauguration of the exhibition Roberto G.Ferrante, wormhole's gallery
The exhibition is a collection of 30 works realized by the young Neapolitan artist in these last 5 years; a period of intense work for him, side by side with national and international artists. The exhibition, organized by Massimo Bignardi, presents works which pay attention to the manipulation of reality,a mix of digital processes and figurative art's tradition. Another interesting feature of Ferrante's art, is the ability to mix languages which are opposite between them.

Roberto G.Ferrante studies at the Fine arts Academy of Naples, and he graduated in 2006. His artistic career begins in 2000. In 2004 he takes part in 2 exhibitions during Maggio dei Monumenti. In 2005 takes part in "Un calendario d'arte contemporanea", a manifestation organized by MIUR and Neapolitan Museums, which took place at the Auditorium of Capodimonte and present at the Biennale of the young artists of Europe and Mediterraneo and then, again at Maggio dei Monumenti. In 2006 he organizes many exhibitions, such as "Alla scoperta del Vesuvio", which took place at PAN. He has won the first prize at "Campagna per la dissuasione dal fumo", organized by Naples province. In 2007 at the Vittoriano of Rome, he presents a digital painting named "Incontri passionali"; it is a success and Emilia Dodi considers Ferrant as one of the main famous international artists, such as: Max Ernst, Andy Warhol, kounellis, Barisani , Tatafiore, Cucchi e Paladino. In 2008 among the exhibitions, Si
In 1857, Auguste Poulet-Malassis published the first edition of Les Fleurs du mal. Baudelaire was so concerned with the quality of the printing that he took a room near the press to help supervise the book's production. Six of the poems, which described lesbian love and vampires, were condemned as obscene by the Public Safety section of the Ministry of the Interior. The ban on these poems was not lifted in France until 1949. In 1861, Baudelaire added thirty-five new poems to the collection. Les Fleurs du mal afforded Baudelaire a degree of notoriety; writers such as Gustave Flaubert and Victor Hugo wrote in praise of the poems. Flaubert wrote to Baudelaire claiming, "You have found a way to inject new life into Romanticism. You are unlike anyone else [which is the most important quality]." Unlike earlier Romantics, Baudelaire looked to the urban life of Paris for inspiration. He argued that art must create beauty from even the most depraved or "non-poetic" situations.
So happy to have such a resplendent museum in my almost-backyard. My wife and I (and various other friends) have had many a riveting, transcendent experience withing those sprawling walls of brick.
Bang On A Can Allstars doing Eno's 'Airports' is still one of the most amazing concert experiences I've thus encountered (and there have been many).
I guess I can confess now that an aged and amazingly gifted composer friend mistakenly urinated in the men's lavatory's sink (which was labelled "sink" in 3 or 4 languages!).
(That was on the occasion of Paul Miller's/DJ Spooky's 'Re-birth of a Nation' work-in-progress event, so it should be good and clean by now.) Perhaps i can locate the photo of me reenacting the crime somewhere on my hard drive (I assure you I did not actually wee in the trough-like old skool sink).
