Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Master Hak comes from a family that has a passion for music. Today, this Mixologist now lives in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. 25 years ago, he had a taste of the groove.... It was at that point that he realized he had mastered the basic skills of mixing. 1984 Master Hak began listening to DJs like Tony Humphries, Merlin Bobb, Naeem Johnson and Timmy Regisford - "These brothers had the Tri-State rockin". Just out of High School, his drive and perseverance lead to being able to hear Tony Humphries live at the legendary Club Zanzibar. It was thru these life changing experiences that he realized he wanted to be a DJ and he knew that he had to step up his mixing skills.
In the past, Master Hak has performed at clubs such as Zanzibar, Sensations, Club 280 and Club Marlos alongside DJs such as Bruce Jeffers (Phunk Farmers Music), Tony V. & Ceasar Kelley (Nocturnal DJ's), Johnny Dangerous, DJ Speedy & DJ T-Bass (Face The Bass) and DJ Camacho, just to name a few. In the present, he draws inspiration from DJs such as Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, Franck Roger, Alix Alvarez, Kerri Chandler, Mr. V, DJ Spinna, Tony Dennis and Glenn Underground. Still doing what he loves most.... Mixin music live on his resident site Face The Bass
A Dem Boyz Production
DJ Tony Dennis was first introduced the music in 1980 from radio stations WBMX, WGCI (Chicago) WJLB (Detroit) and WBLS (New York). The first DJ Turntables I ever spun on were MCS Direct Drives. I then purchased two Technic SL-B100's and a Numark DM500 Mixer and learned the fundementals of mixing from a very good friend Joey Thomas. I have studied and continue to study the music and daily and I learn from famous and not so famous jocks all over the world. The music is my passion and I cant imagine my life without it. HOUSE MUSIC WILL NEVER DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
