David Mast werd geboren in Amsterdam en woont nu in Almere. In juni 2007 studeerde hij cum laude af aan het conservatorium van Amsterdam (trompet jazz). Zijn docenten waren: Jan Oosthof (techniek & leadtrompet) en Ruud Breuls (hoofdvak jazztrompet). David is fulltime beroepsmuzikant: speelt in diverse bands, doet studiowerk, musical/theater producties & blazerssectiewerk bij verschillende artiesten/bands.
Naast het vele trompetspelen is hij bezig met een aantal zakelijke projecten, waaronder de site: www.jazz.nl.
