Le rappeur vient du “Miss-Messi”, le groupe avec lequel il a débuté aux côtés de Naffe (paix à son âme) et de Flair, 2 jeunes MC pétris de talent, tous issus de « Bertoua » petite capitale de province, à l’est du Cameroun. Garçon unique à ses parents, MASTER-X est né le 22 Mars 1982. Élevé dans les dures lois de la polygamie, le jeune rappeur est très vite imprégné de la vie solitaire et du Hip-hop qu’il pratique depuis les bancs du lycée mais la pression parentale ralentit ses ardeurs. Ces derniers exigent de lui au moins le bac. Certes le crew « Miss-Messi » s’impose dans toute la province oú les lascars Rap avec brio, mais pour des raisons diverses les gars se dispersent.
En 1999, MASTER-X débarque á Cotonou et les déceptions vont de pair. Armé de courage et de ténacité, celui que l’on surnomme le rappeur professionnel, comme un soldat au front cherche sa voie. Sounds Systems, premières parties, lancements d’albums, tout est bon pour booster la promo. Chemin faisant, il rencontre Mr Big Romain, le Dg de « Big Sono Prod» qui lui donne une chance de démontrer sa valeur artistique, c’est alors que l’idée d’un album « SORTI DROIT DU MAKI… » germe. L’album connaît des soubresauts et le MC se retrouve entrain de sortir des singles en auto-production, notamment « MASTER-X », accompagné de 2 vidéos á savoir « MASTER-X » et « BAISSE LA TETE feat. MC MCA ». Ne dépassera pas la huitième place au classement du top10 de « Ghetto Blaster » sur « GOLFE TV » une des TV privée du Bénin.
Néanmoins Cotonou en général et le Bénin en particulier reconnaît le talent du jeune rappeur, classé depuis 2 mois artiste de la semaine sur http://www.oceancouvrefeu.com le site d’une radio la plus écoutée (Océan FM) de la place, site web représentatif du Rap made in Bénin, et la vidéo " MASTER-X" 2 fois diffusés comme le clip de la semaine sur la chaine nationale ORTB. 2 concerts « Stages », 3 festivals HKH (Hip-hop KANKPE), 1 « Esprit Neg Charity Sound System», 1 festival « Africa sans SIDA », invité à la tournée du groupe Diamant Noir/CTN ALL STARS, concert de solidarité de l’ONG Internationale AIDE et ACTION en faveur de l’éducation des enfants, pour ne citer que cela. MASTER-X ne s’arrête plus, le MC nous réserve encore des surprises…
