Mastino is a metalband from the dark woods of Sweden.
It all began in the early summer of 2007, a group of men met up to form a band. Soon after, some of the members went away for the summer only to be back in late august.
At that time the drummer was on his way into military duty, but luckily an old friend, Jesper, had just moved back to Linkoping from Gothenburg and he was eager to take hold of the drumming responsibility.
So the line-up was complete and the band started to rehears. A couple of months went by before the band decided to record the songs they had finished. They entered the studio and recorded the 5-track demo "Before the Storm". It got released in time for christmas 2007. You can actually listen to the first song the made right here on myspace, it..s called "Apocalypse".
The bassist got dismissed from the band because the rest of the members felt they needed some one with more skills, and the persuation to improve. Some time went by before they found their perfect match in Jonathan. He tried with Mastino one time before the original members greated him as one of them.
By the start of the summer 2008 more songs were finished and recorded in Helltower Studio. It was a slow process and it took even months before it was completely done. The 3-track demo got the name "Primal Therapy".
At this moment there are a handfull of songs that awaits recording and you can expect a new record released in 2010.
