In 1990, Steve Winter set out on a journey with a few friends that would lead to a short 15-minute film. From there, long time friend and now co-owner, Murray Wais, came aboard to help grow the company to what it is now: a multi-facetted production company. Matchstick Productions, while known best for ski action, has progressed into shooting and producing a high-definition TV series, ski movie, mountain bike film, commercials, corporate videos, and is one of the leading production companies providing stock footage for commercials worldwide.
The company now continues to produce, shoot, direct, and consult out of their Colorado headquarters. The company has grown with over ten employees and hosts a worldwide film tour that excites millions across the globe with mind-blowing action sport filmmaking.
