Two musicians with a very different artistic background meet for a new project that has the purpose to revive their passion for the magic atmospheres of ancient music. In their songs the flavour of natural elementals, marvellous creatures and fantastic stories that carries the listener to a surreal dimension in which he gets in contact with the ancient cult of the Great Mother. .. Mater Dea released their first album "Below the mists, above the brambles" in December 2009. .. She has been a dancer too. She has a great passion for trees, and for every Mother Nature's child. She loves to cycle and to walk, in her city as well as in the countryside. She likes to meet every kind of person and she smiles and laughs a lot, even if she thinks that an abundant weeping sometimes is a very good remedy against unhappiness. She likes to fly away with her imagination and sometimes she forgets things.. but this is her nature..! She believes that life is a marvellous adventure in which you learn something more everyday about ourselves and other people, and that this could be good to become more useful towards others. "Below the mists, above the brambles" MaterDea - Capogiro Records (2009). .. .. .. .. ..Marco .. was born in Turin, in a small working-class neighbourhood full of people living in the opposite flats, in a small house in front of the ancient Royal Garden. His passion for forests and animals arose thanks to his Brazilian grandfather that used to take him along with his three dogs during his excursions to pick mushrooms. Perhaps it was just from the excessive eating of these smart vegetal moulds that from very young Marco strangely started to talk with fairies and trees. When he was twelve he took up a guitar for the first time, it was a classic six strings old guitar owned by his father that was a musician, and from that moment he fell deeply in love with that sound.. Sometime after his teens he felt a stronger and stronger call of Nature and her Elementals, until he made them the central point of his spiritual existence.
