Lindsay Lam, one year and counting

(i dare someone to read all this)
Matii G and I met on December 10, 2006 at Alex's birthday and it wasn't love at first sight. We took our time and fell in love the next year. We started dating on October 31, 2007 when we went to see Across the Universe. He made me laugh so stinkin' hard! Matt does that to people, he's just a funny guy :) So anyway we basically had a super rough start to our relationship considering everyone hated us for dating, but I think we kinda knew we had something great going. We told each other "I horgit you" because we really liked eachother, but neither of us was ready to say the L word yet. Then about three and a half months into our relationship I got to move to Texas! For some silly reason or another we decided to try to keep on going with eachother, because we knew I'd be back in June. Those were the longest five months of my life! We always texted each other and kept in touch. For one week, he even got to stay with me in my dad's house so we could see each other! I remember being so excited on the last day of the drive home, just to see Matii's face again. I still think he's terribly handsome to be quite honest... anyway, My dad and I are sitting at U-HAUL in Cd'A, right, and I begged Matt to come get me so he did and I hadn't seen his new car yet, all I knew was that it was white. So every white car that drove by for a half hour made my heart race! haha FINALLY he pulled into the Lowe's parking lot across the street and I swear he took my breath away. Of course the timing was awful so we had to wait on opposite sides of the street until traffic slowed so he could run across. But, Lord when he ran across and hugged me I cried. I cried HARD. I missed his kisses more than anything! We drove my new car home and hung out with my mom for a few, then Matii and I went into town to hang out with some friends, I dont even think we met up with anyone if I remember correctly! haha Anyway after I came home our love just bloomed into this super amazing thing! I spent almost everyday with him and I loved every minute of it. Sure, we fight sometimes, I'm not going to paint some unrealistic picture of a perfect relationship, but Matt and I always talk our stuff out. We work it out and try to improve, because I know we mean the world to eachother. Matt Guthrie is my best friend, my boyfriend, my shoulder to lean on, and my noodlehead. He makes me so happy every day. On top of all that, he makes me proud. I am, honest to God, P R O U D to be his. This boy is smart, hilarious, a stellar musician, friendly, and a good listener. (more so lately (; hehe) I can see myself settling down with this boy and I hope he'll let me stick around for quite a while longer, because I'm sure not ready for this to be over. heeeelll no. oh my gosh! our night started out so stinkin' awesome but thin when the police showed up it all went downhill. but hey, we didn't get in too much trouble (for not even having sex...) that one evening, prior to getting caught, made my entire grounded weekend bearable. i love you so much mr. matii g. 9:44pm May 02
