Matik took off like nothing you've ever seen. They started out unsettling small poetry readings and ended up playing for thousands of people*. Within a year they'd won prizes** and made a shit load of money when their song was used in a beer commercial. Their underground hit single Dance It Off! was heard from the Dutch public radio*** to the dance floors of Ibiza. Man, it was wild. Then 2008 came, the time to record their debut album. It's finished now. Matik has a brand new live set which totally kicks butt. They're ready to take you on. So, when the record company people finally have their act together, it will probably be the beginning of next year. Expect the release in the first quarter of 2009!
Two remixes have already been made by Bas Bron (De jeugd van tegenwoordig) and Spencer Product & Dirtlab. We'll let you know when you can hear them. For now, enjoy this teaser mix. We know it's annoying. As long as it leaves you wanting more.
