from Live at the village vangaurd are almost the brightest ive ever seen.the brightest moment I have seen,..is when Paul gonsalves comes in on "praise god and dance",.from duke's second sacred concert.Duke meets Trane might be my favorite record of all time.i consider Jackie Mcleans record LET FREEDOM RING,.a quintessential masterpiece.....i want to make a record like ATTICA BLUES by archie shepp,.but do it 2009 style.on a personal level,..Ornette Coleman,William Parker,Giuseppe Logan,sabir Mateen,Roy Campbell,Ras Moshe,are both friends and influences.who ALBERT AYLER was,is,and what happened to him is a PROFOUND influence.i like the way Obama keeps his cool,.the way Duke ellington writes for clarinet,.and the way ELIS REGINA reveals her SOUL to the WORLD.
