My name is Matt Drohan and I'm a songwriter, singer, keyboardist, guitarist, and drummer. I began acting at the age of nine and performed in many dramatic and musical theatre productions. My theatre experience introduced me to the world of music, prompting me to pick up piano, guitar, drums and writing my own music. Since then, I have produced four musical dramas, as well as home studio recordings of my solo work. I worked in cover and original bands leading up to my last completed album 'Dreams in Motion' in 2007. Some of my tunes are featured on this page- I would like to eventually produce these songs and future work on more advanced recording equipment. I am currently working with the Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra "A Night at the Rock Opera" as a singer, guitarist, and keyboardist. The URO is a 6-piece band with an ensemble of 14 singers performing classics from the Beatles, David Bowie, Queen, and the Who. We completed a successful run at Boston's historical Wilbur Theatre in the Fall of 2007 and recently played at the Roxy in Boston, The Wolf Den @ Mohegan Sun, The Fryeburg Fair in Maine, B.B. King's in NY and the Allen Theatre in Cleveland, OH. The Rock Opera is now performing at the Stuart Steet Playhouse in Boston's Theatre District every Saturday night!
