FIRST of ALL, I'm not in a band; this listing is the only way I could display my hobby to friends and family. Up to this point I've been doing my own stuff. With my little Tascam 2488 I can lay down my own guitars, dobro, mandolin, 5 string, harps, mandola & vocals. I get the drums and some keyboards from the computer although I use a synth for bass, strings, piano and other effects as well.
Sometimes I forget that every instrument is only an effect, ..that's what the real sound engineers are for.
Influences
Uncles Don & Jerry, Chet, Joe Maphis, Lowell Lundstrom, Tony Rice, Hoyt Axton, Jerry Douglas, Charlie Pride, Vince Gill, George Jones, Conway Twity, Mason Williams, some BB King and Eric Clapton. ..let's not forget that banjo picker in 'Deliverence'.

I've been told so many times even by little kids that I LOOKed like that guy in Flubber. (Robin Williams) when shaved. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Oh how the years can change things.
Born in Texas and raised in Montana, for the past 14 years I've called Missouri home. For the past 10 years I've been designing and building waterwheels and delivering them all over the country. Yes I said waterwheels. My web site is www.missouriwaterwheels.com for those who might like to take a look.
My music roots go back to when I was a kid and got my first guitar when I was in the 6th grade. My secret girlfriend, Connie, was into the Beatles and I was out to impress her. After I decided stalking her wasn't the answer, I moved on to taking guitar more seriously. I owe my uncles Jerry and Don all the gratitude for their williness to sit down and teach me what they knew and for jambing all those years. I lost my favorite picking buddy when Jerry passed away and I lost interest in playing music all together.
About 12 years past when I stumbled across a monthly bluegrass club just up the street from me. That sparked a whole new interest and some new expenses in instruments I wasn't expecting. Over the past two years I found myself picking on a Gibson flattop, a couple of Washburn guitars & banjo, dobro, mandolin (Uncle Jerry's), mandola, high string, harps, mixing board, mics and ..enough already.
I have a lot to write about, sing about, be thankful about. I've been blessed with a pair of hands that can build, design, inspire, and make people happy.
I'm not a professional musician by no means and I've heard so many more pickers so much better than me. Styles have changed and I find it difficult to fit in sometimes. I enjoy making music and just don't always have the opportunity to sit down with some good musicians as often as I used to. That forces me to sit in my little room in the basement and learn on what ever I can pick up so I can lay down my own backups. I love it, even though I've never been famous. ..some good lyrics in there somewhere.
I don't know you, but sure would like to. I love your music. I keep comin back here to listen to you. Man you are great. I know how hard it is to be a good singer and picker and you have mastered both. I only wish I was half as good. I'm still learning. I have several tunes on YouTube that I have composed. Check me out at; wwwyoutube. com/buster541 Thank's, keepum cummin!!!! Curt
Hey!!! Happy New Years to you, too!!! 2008 has to be a much better year than both 06 and 07 put together!!! Hope you have a good 2008!! It still seems wierd saying "200-" It's been how long? 8 years we've been saying that? I guess I just never would have imagined it.
Hey! thanks for the add. Also, thanks for what you did with the Glendive site. Did you check out my pictures? I can remember a while back you said you went to school with my brother, Mark? I don't know if you knew or not, he passed away a little over a year ago. I did a little tribute to him in my albums. You are welcome to check it out if you like.
