Few artists find a foothold on the edges of American music, but songwriter Matt Campbell seeks to serve them. Steeped in the tradition of the troubadour Campbell has followed a faint spirit from the rolling hills of his native Colorado to the concrete of New York City, all points in between, coast to coast. Now in Chicago, Campbell continues to craft the story of the everyman. A reconciliation of the hopes and fears that frame the human condition. His music and lyrics linger in the light of old country, blues, jazz, and western. His previous releases have been met with critical acclaim, including a "Best of" among local releases for 2006's "Out Amongst the Shadows," from the Rocky Mountain Chronicle.
