About me:
Matt Cortez
April 16, 1979.
Born and raised in Indiana.
Nationality is Mexican.
Guitar technician since 2002.
Since 2002, Matt has been Frank Iero's guitar tech and even took his place on March 30, 2007 when he was sick with food poisoning on The Black Parade World Tour. Matt was made My Chemical Romance's temporary bassist when, Mikey Way, bassist, had gotten married. Mikey left the band temporarily to get accustomed to his new life. Since April 19, 2007 Matt filled in for My Chemical Romance so as not to cancel their tours. Mikey returned in October and Matt stepped down to tech for Frank Iero again. Frank got some unexpected news regarding his family and had to fly home. Matt filled in for Frank again for the rest of the Fall UK 2007 tour. Frank returned for the Australian tour and Matt is again teching for him.

hi! i saw matt cortez on monday at the mcr concert, but no one screamed when he came out on stage, except for me i said hi a bunch of times, but he didn't hear me :(
Hey i just want to u know that i really love Matt! i was in his last birthday concert, it was in San antonio TX and there were mariachi and piñata! xD i really love him!! cause he is very friendly, then, i went to MTY Mexico concert and i was very closer of MCR ... at the end of the show Matt was in front of me and i said to him that i love him and he just smiled and he gave me his ....emm.. i dont know how to write it in english, but is his little piece of plastic that he uses to play the guitar,( if u know the name please tellme xD) and i just was paralized!!! he said Bye and thanks for me!! and i did the same! awwwww that experience was so wonderful for me!!! and i really love this site!! is very cool!! and well! i hope u read this! XD
