This CD consists of 10 original acoustic instrumental songs all written by Matt Di Filippo. Prayerful and anointed, these songs create an atmosphere of peace and reflection. For me, these songs stand as a reminder to never forget that I am merely a diminutive note, playing in the background of Gods overall musical composition". .. .......... ..About Matt Di Filippo:.. ..Matt Di Filippo is an acoustic guitarist from San Antonio, Texas. His involvement in Catholic music began 6 years ago at the age of 14 when he was invited to help out with the music ministry at Mass. As a result of discovering music as ministry during Mass, he began to write instrumental songs from his times of deep reflection and prayer. Through this, his writing has become much deeper in meaning and stronger in passion, all to glorify God. The guitar draws out the emotional depth of what he is praying and feeling in the form of music. The strings are his voice as he plays through the sounds of prayer... ..These new instrumental guitar pieces that Matt was writing caught the attention of Dan Duet, who had just started a new ministry called "Two-Twelve Ministries". After hearing Matt's music, Dan offered him the opportunity to be apart of it and to share the message of the ministry, "Where one degree more of Jesus makes all the difference.".. .......... ..Since joining Two-Twelve Ministries, Matt has taken his music on several concert tours around the country and has participated in many conferences. He also has shared his music at numerous Adoration and Reconciliation services. Most recently, three of Matt's songs were selected as background music for the EWTN program, "The Faithful Traveler". .. ..To date Matt has released two CD's of original, instrumental music. His debut CD, "Mystic Heaven", was a final nominee for the Catholic music "Unity Award" for 'Instrumental Album of the Year' in 2008. His most recent CD, "Without Words", is nominated for the same award in 2010." .. ..In addition to being an active member of the United Catholic Music and Video Association (UCMVA – sponsor of the Unity Awards), Matt is also an active member of the Catholic Association of Music (CAM) as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus at Texas A&M. Upon his graduation in 2012 he intends to enter into full-time music ministry in the Church. .. ..

    Matt Di Filippo's debut CD, Mystic Heaven, has been nominated for two Unity Awards: "Instrumental Album of the Year" and "Best Album Packaging". (the Awards were presented in New Orleans on October 25th) .. .. On May 14, 2009, Two Twelve Records released Matt Di Filippo's second instrumental CD "Without Words." The CD was once again produced by Dan Duet, an award winning recording artist and producer.
