In the pics section you will find photographs of my art work, these have been created by resonating different mediums with a controlled sound wave. The various frequencies behave in unique ways to move the pigment around the surface, leaving a mark of its journey. The C13 installation, combined this method with a multi-sensory experience. Each box (soundcast) represents a certain note that plays out into the space, all six boxes combine to make a chord C13th. As you move around the room the chord will slightly change depending which of the six boxes you are closest too. This chord then chimes every minute and fades to silence allowing the natural ambience of the room to take over.
Here is a small selection of my recordings past and present.
A Silent Collage (edit, original 14:37), Spring 2006
This is a track composed from three different locations, layered on top of each other. The first sound you hear is of some ducks and geese at the Serpentine Lake in Hyde park London. The next site has been recorded in my mother's garden in Farnham, Surrey the house is situated in a valley next to Alice Holt forest, the sound of the birds makes a rich tapestry of calls. Then the last sound, is of some large windchimes near a waterfall, which was recorded in the Japanese gardens in Newquay, Cornwall. Outside Waiting Room (08:15),Spring 2006
Recorded at Farnham train station in March 2006, i missed my train to london and had to wait 10mins for the next one, this is what happened while i waited.
Swanpool Lake (08:15), May 2007
This track is part of a series of site specific recordings that im making for a live arts festival in falmouth. Past/Present Hear -

Big thanks for the add! And what an excellent set of field recordings. I applaud your approach and influences! I would be over the moon if you'd come and play a selection of your recordings at Cafe Concrete. Would you be up for that? Matt.
Yes! I got them just the other day and I wanted to sent you a message today about it. Hadn't expected to get them that early so it was quite a surprise. Had a listen to them all, though I have to listen to your random stuff cd again because I don't seem to remember a lot of it. The mini cd Flow is very nice, was a good listen, it made me think of a plane somehow. The futurist cd is just awesome, Corale is on there too, which is nice, but my favorite track is the third track, can't remember the name, but it has this very familiar melody. It's very inspiring to hear what people in the 1920/30's could come up with, it's just fantastic and I want to thank you a lot for sending it over.
I have a split tape between one of my projects Emotional Manwhore and some experimental band coming up and I'm getting some artwork copies and shit too, so I will send you that if you'd like I will also try and get a hold of an earlier split tape I did featuring a 23 minute ambient/noise soundscape of mines. Get back to me if you'd like that!
