If you're looking for the type of emcee to make you laugh, cry and throw up last
night's dinner...MC Meatt is your man! With his raw style and 'who gives a shit'
mentality, he's sure to make your iPod an audio adventure.Most would say he's
a Weird Al Yankovic, Eminem and Geto Boys all rolled into one.
Growing up he wrote countless crap, but it wasn't until the age of 17 that he was
able to record his work. His success rest on the shoulders of his brother, D'BoI
of the upcoming group, 'Huntzville'. He opened the door to the music industry for
him and helped guide him to success. The major tool MC Meatt uses to secure
his spot in the industry is controversy. It seemed no matter what was thrown his
way he was always able to make the best of it and flip the script on his competition.
"If I come out of the gate acting all hard and making songs telling bitches to shake
their fat ass in the club and do it seriously, I would get clowned for that. And when
my competition does diss me for it, they would have the upper hand on me. But if
I come out running, having fun with the music and being myself, I can do whatever
the fuck I want and get away with it. If my enemies choose then to diss me for that,
it makes them out to be a dumbass cause I already said it", said MC Meatt in a
2008 interview.
Although many would say he's not a true 'lyricist', he does have that special
something that demands your attention and respect. It wasn't until 2007
that he released his first album, "A Huntzville Item". The project took the
state of Texas by storm. The album featured hit singles such as, "Balls So
Soft", "The Myspace Song" and "Fairy Tale". The coming year of 2009 is
expected to be no different for him as he prepares for the release of his
second album, "The Erection". "The Erection" is an album dedicated strictly
to the Geto Boys, by spoofing random songs from the group. "The Geto
Boys to me are the best group in hip hop history in my opinion. Everybody
today in the entertainment industry is so quick to sell out to get attention or
to make a quick dollar, they didn't. This new project his just a way for me
to show them my respect and to say thank you for delivering hit after hit
since before I was born", stated MC Meatt. There's no exact date set yet,
but the project is due January/February of 2009. With this new release his
name is sure not to fade away anytime soon, sorry rap fans!
