Matt Envy & Frooty are the leading force in the Herefordshire Hardcore scene, rocking dancefloors across the country, spinning fresh, upront & unique back-to-back sets comprising entirely of their own productions.
The duo have been cooking up a storm since the launch of their digital Hardcore label, “Groove Control Digital”, in March of 2008, clocking up an impressive volume of releases to date, every one gaining a good reception, with two releases rocketing to the top spot in the IMO Download charts. The label's ever increasing download rates are testament to the pair's growing success and rapidly expanding fan base.
Over the last year, the two have been working extremely hard in the Studio, spending much of their time on polishing their production skills in order to create even more explosive musical ammunition to demolish every dancefloor they encounter.
The two have been booked at a number of well respected events, the most notable being Bounce 2 This, Atomic, Bazooka, Ravers Forever and Spunky (where they hold a residency).
The pair's distinctive productions cover a broad spectrum of hardcore styles. Their compositions range from the mainstream trance-based sound through to the fun party sound, through to nu-skool gabber, showing an unparelled
level of inspiration and diversity, endeavouring to set themselves apart from other up and coming talents in the scene.
The two have collaborated with some of Hardcore's best talents old and new such as the legendary Scratch Master Techno, DJ Bubble and Gazy J, Matt has also worked with DJ Cruze on projects in the past.
With new studio projects in the pipeline all the time, you can be assured that the best is yet to come. A myriad of vocal-based tracks are planned for production, which will feature hot new talents from the scene's best up-and-
coming vocalists.
Quickly procuring support from some of the scenes most influential figure-heads, their fresh sounding tracks have been championed by the likes of JB Project and DJ Cruze at small and large-scale raves alike such as the infamous HTID, Raver Baby, Uproar, Dance Island and Natural Born Ravers.
With a burning desire to succeed Matt Envy & Frooty are definitely the Hardcore duo to look out for in the future!
