About me: Hi,
I'm Matt, 21, I'm a journalist in Thames. I grew up in West Auckland and last year finished the bachelor of communication studies at AUT. I think long term I'll get into PR so I can earn some money off my education or maybe return to AUT to teach journalism.
I'm a fan of most sports and play a lot of poker, otherwise I'm into music (I play guitar - poorly), having a few drinks and hanging out with my mates.
O and I'm on Bebo now so add me to that too www.bebo.com/enzown
Love these guys - there's nothing quite like gangsta rap acoustic folk music!!! The ultimate card trick.1111111111

Hey dude, lol yea crazy small world aye. yea she is, a very distant rallie, well maybe not even blood but by very good friends... haha , pass on my regards to her if you see her!
Hows the old thames aye??
Haha more exciting than Thames?! I dunno bout that, I'm not sure anything could compete with the Mecca that is Goldfields :p
Yea just here til August then flying back to sweet Aotearoa. Things are good man, in my last semester of the BIC (yup, still studying it - had a disaster year off in between) making heapsa new friends over here n generally having a ball.
So when did the whole shifting to Thames thing occur? People will give the place crap but I do genuinely like Thames, its got a charm and realistic HUMAN pace to it that Auckland just builds roads on top of
Hey! how are you? what have you been up to? No worries about the job - when it came to the crunch I'm not sure I would be able to handle being in Thames - I'm too much of a city girl. I know, I'm a wuss. Things are good here now - am working two jobs - part time at the Herald where I get to write (YAY!!), I just did a story on roller derbys which was in on Saturday. The other is at a small deli/catering place which is fun 'cause the people are really cool. As long as I am getting to do some journalism I'm happy! What's news from down south???
BAHAHAHAAAAA I am still top friend! I am cool. GO ME. I hope you drank at least 10 drinks for me last Friday. I was tres depressed that I couldn't make an appearance. Hope your week is good x
Yeah it is pretty frustrating - no one seems to be bothered training graduates. Oh well, will find something - I am considering going to a recruitment agency. it's great to hear you are doing well down there. Not surprising though! you would do awesome wherever you were. I will consider your offer...is tempting. Will be in touch
Hey Matt, how are you doing?? How is the Hauraki Herald- I bet you are making a great impression there. I haven't got a reporting job, seems like every one I go for there is someone with "more experience" than me. Any tips? I am working on reception at RadioWorks in Ponsonby which is fun - you get to meet all the announcers and stuff, but it is still not writing!! What is news with you?
happy new year (very late) i feel that i am still recovering from our episode of excessive absinthe drinking in a spa pool. remind me not to do that again. hope you are working hard cause im still on holiday but i have to get a job soon cause i am broooooooke from too much partying! talk soon much love xxx ME
hey im not ignoring your texts i am a busy person much like yourself!!! i have not told the manukau courier and have no intention of doing so - they dont cover whitford anyway. AND DONT EVEN DARE THINK of telling howick pak times or anyone else you can think of. i wish to remain anonymous!!! haha. hope all good off to puhinui with the horses today. talk soon xx
Hey trouble bubble hope thames is good - i am revelling in the fact that i am your top friend. I MADE THE NZ TEAM FOR TRANS TASMAN. I am the individual which is cool. Gossie is a good starry flash and wonderful pony. So now you know a NZ rep for riding! Much love xxx
Hey Matt,
Thanks, sounds like Hauraki's a blast too - congrats! I may give you a call. Franklin is great after one day, I'm pretty stoked. Have fun and I'm sure we will be seeing/talking more :)
Hey Matt, thanks for the add. Congrats on the job aye must really feel awesome to have that sorted out. All your hard work on Te Waha Nui has really paid off. I'm job hunting and stressing big time!
so matt that photo of you is extremely modelish....even the lighting is amazing. You should be on home & away with that deep thought I can see on your face. Home & away is the pinical of all journalistic achievement... (even though it really has nothing to do with journo... publicity i spose!) Peace!!
are we on for tuesday shorthand? clearly we must keep up our slack studyng yet styly passing record. ive not studied shorthand. ive studied other things. muahahaha hope you are having a good weekend
Wow the hauraki herald, i sure miss getting that paper each week! :) - ex waihi here.
How are you going? I wish i was closer to finishing my degree like you and everyone else :P thats the punishment i get for not cross crediting.
