Matter of Fact is a PowerPop/Rock band that performs mostly original music which is both overtly Christian, as well as subtly Christian in its themes and lyrics. Matter of Fact hails from the suburbs of Cincinnati, Ohio. The band is a four piece comprised of members coming from many different walks of life, all united by one faith and a passion for making good music that is fun to play.
Matter of Fact has just finished work on its first studio album. Currently, MOF is booking shows, rehearsing and planning an upcoming CD promotional tour - stay posted for details!
Over the past year, Matter of Fact has played at various venues, ranging from churches, Battle of the Band competitions, private parties, and youth events in Ohio and Kentucky.
The band brings the style of rock and pop together, morphing those styles into something that is sure to appeal to a wider audience. Matter of Fact has a sound that combines powerful guitar leads and rhythm riffs with piano driven melodic pop. A terrific blend of smooth vocals, thoughtful lyrics, and pure emotion are what defines the group’s sound.
The rhythm section is headed up by Ben Waters on drums. Ben has been playing percussion for about 9 years, and is a songwriter himself. The other part of the rhythm section is Mike Lyons on bass and lead vocals. Mike has played with and recorded with several local Christian bands over the past 5 years. Playing lead & rhythm guitar is Don Mueller. Don has been playing guitar in bands for the better part of the last 5 years. Fronting the band is Rebekah Lyons. Rebekah has been playing piano, singing, and writing music for as long as she can remember. She has played and recorded as a soloist, as well as being a keyboardist and vocalist for several touring Christian bands.
