I have enjoyed the "Flowers In the Attic" series by V. C. Andrews, a number of Stephen King novels, and "The Da Vinci Code". I tend to collect books on faeries, mythology, world religions, art instruction, and art collections of my favorite artists. If you haven't read Chapter & Verse and you are a Genesis fan - get off this computer and go get it! It's a phenomenal book!

I love music, and I love to draw, so that's what this page is all about.
So far, my art has been seen and autographed by all the touring members of Genesis and Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart. Who will be next? Stay tuned!
My drawing of Genesis was autographed by everyone in the band at the Pittsburgh gig September 2007! I scanned the article (with photos)from the Charlotte Observer! I was very lucky that the band was able to see the drawing. It was the best way I could think of to thank them for their music and what it has meant to me through my life. I gave them each a framed copy of their own likeness and got to meet a few of them at our hotel that night and the next morning.
Here's me with Daryl Stuermer 2 weeks before that in Milwaukee at one of his solo gigs. What a guy!
August 2008, I was able to meet Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart before their set in Charlotte, NC. They were really nice and I think a little bit surprised when I unrolled the drawing before their eyes. I was thrilled to be standing before Rock N Roll royalty sharing something of my own with them! I also got to meet their drummer, Ben Smith - he's a very nice and very funny guy! And THANK YOU to MOTLEY SUE, without whom meeting the sisters would not have been possible.

I won the monthly photo contest for January at The Clarks website! I got an autographed poster! The photos that I submitted are at their Flicker album - mine are the first 5 on page 2, and the winning photo is number 108 - a black and white of Greg, their bassist! SWEET!
My latest "Genesis" adventure will be ANOTHER trip to Philly to meet up with my Genesis friends and see the tribute band The Musical Box. Can't wait to see the Philly gang again!! WOO HOO!
I just finished up a couple of Christmas commissions, one in color pencil (Shelby), and one in pastel and color color pencil (Rachel). They are above in my slide show. Take a look!

A Little More About ME
I'm originally from the Pittsburgh, PA area (GO STEELERS)!, but moved to Charlotte, NC 5 years ago.
My maiden name was RUGITO, and I attended schools in PA in Jeannette (Fort Pitt, JMS), West Hempfield, Latrobe, and Derry. I went to college at IUP, WCCC, and UPG.
My career outside of art for the last 17 years is that of a medical laboratory technician, running all those lab tests that your doctor orders on you.
I have 2 daughters from my first marriage (they are 13 and 20), and I have one step daughter from my new marriage - she is 17. Our home now has 3 cats, 1 miniature schnauzer, and a tank full of fish.
I had gastric bypass surgery in October and have only 20 more pounds to to to reach my goal! WOO HOO!
I'm a big all eras GENESIS fan. If you visit the fan club forums at Genesis-music.com, you'll see me posting there as "mattersfact2". Though I have Philistine and Gabrielite tendencies, even *I* know that Genesis would not be Genesis were it not for the genius of Tony Banks - and thus, I became a "born again" Banksian!
I'm also an official HEARTMONGER - a card carrying member of the Heart fan club! Nancy Wilson has been my girl rock guitarist inspiration since my aunt gave me "Dreamboat Annie" when I was 13. Ann Wilson - what a voice! She is the woman that I try to be when I karaoke! (Notice I said TRY). She inspired me to have weight loss surgery when she shared her experience with the Lap-Band.
