Sounds Like
A folksinger being pushed down the stairs by a punk band at a 1980s dance club. Oh, and E.L.O. are there, and laugh.
"I was the bass player for the bands Surd (1995-1997), and Johnny Daddy-o and the Telefunken U47s (1997-1998). In 2000 and 2001, I recorded a 19-track demo called Distraction, but only distributed it to a handful of people. I like to think it was an album with an audience of one. After that, I didn't do much in the way of recording, but rather focused on writing. I wrote a short story collection called Young Drunks in Love and a poetry book called Five Seeds. Then I went to grad school, where I studied poetry. In 2005, I moved to Seoul, Korea, to teach English. There I bought a cheap bass and an even cheaper acoustic guitar, and started writing and recording some new songs. In 2008, I finished a 14-song demo called Seoul. That same year, I moved back to the United States, and have been teaching and working on a novel. Off and on, I've also been recording demos for a project I'm calling Home. I call everything I record demos, even if I think they're finished, because I feel better about the crappy quality that way. I doubt I'll ever play in a band again. I really just can't fathom having the time. But I really enjoy writing, playing, recording, and mixing songs. If you like my music, great, if not, that's great, too."
Matt What's up? Long time man, things have sure changed eh? Yeah I started a movie store - check it out. Currently I've got a bunch of action flicks up there, as well as a bunch of family / kid content, on account of holiday shopping and what not.
