...... .. ...."the trusted name in electronic music for over 4,732 years" .. The face of modern music is changing and Matt Greer is on the front line. Matt bridges gaps by blending head bobbin hip-hop electro beats, the arrangement sensibilities of pop rock and the emotional evocation of soundtrack score into pure melodic bliss. Matt's style is certainly his own, and though it is unique, his music is also extremely user friendly. His fan base crosses lines of culture, age, ethnicity and musical taste. Matt Greer has been producing for as long as he has been writing music. Over the past seven years he has been composing, Matt has grown into a true artist. His songs exhibit a fresh sound and immense versatility. The Trends in modern music are shifting in Matts direction and he is poised to be at the head of the pack. Matt Greer has a sonic vision and a heart felt desire to share his art with the world... .. .. .. .. .. .... ..HISTORY.. Matt started out as a DJ spinning at local clubs and parties in his home town of Greenville, South Carolina. He quickly learned the art of mixing and beat matching records and was known for his "different" sets of atmospheric drum and bass, acid-jazz and trip-hop. Although Matt enjoyed being a DJ, he sometimes felt limited creatively and desired to do more with the music he so loved. Around that time, Matt went to visit a friend in Florida. His friend showed him how he could write and produce his own electronic compositions using little more than a home computer and some software. Within twentyfour hours of this discovery, Matt had already produced his first original track and immediately he was hooked. It has been nothing short of obsession ever since. Matt came back to South Carolina with a new found passion for electronic music and it seemed that his creativity could not be tamed. He traded in his turntables for a computer, a microphone and a keyboard and started making music at every chance he got. It's been approximately six and a half years since then and matt is still just as driven by music now as ever before! Matt is currently working on his first record release and it will hopefully be completed by the early part of 2007. Be on the look out for this album when it drops... ........ .. ..............

....I think it's easier for someone else to tell me whom I've been influenced by than the other way around, so that is a difficult question to answer, but here lately I seem to get a lot of inspiration from the music on multitudes of car commercials and my friends in the IDM world are giving me lots of ideas these days too...
