| General | My interests include watching sport, spending time with friends, going to concerts and writing poetry (see above). I also do a bit of cooking, reading, and enjoy real ale and beer festivals.
| | Music | I like a lot of types of music but my collection is dominated by Morrissey, Bowie, Stephen Duffy/Lilac Time, the Smiths and Bob Dylan. I also like Lloyd Cole, Stereophonics, Eric Clapton, Counting Crows...to name a few.
I like it when I am introduced to bands by others and Kate has done this on a couple of occasions with groups such as Concrete Blonde.
Invariably I do not like the music my neighbour plays loudly, usually when I am trying to write poetry. This is one of the downsides to living mid-terrace though. The neighbours the other side have good music taste at least and do not try to deafen themselves or me.
Honourable mention must go to Steve Lambert, Miracle Mile, The Brigadier and the Music Lovers. Not only have I liked what I have listened to but I have had contact from them too.

| | Movies | Mel Brooks films are great and you will find a number of them in my DVD collection. You would also find a few Tarantino films as well as Star Wars in several formats. I like some science fiction, comedy and drama films too. My favourite film has to be the Producers. | | Television | At the moment I tend to watch Dr Who (sad but I grew up watching it too).I enjoy watching Torchwood which is better than a lot of spin offs I could mention. I also like programmes such as Deadringers, That Mitchell and Webb look and Later with Jools Holland. Saying that the amount of time I watch TV has reduced a lot over the last year and much of the time it is just background noise. | | Books | Terry Pratchett discworld novels are good. I also like to read Harry Harrison, Tom Clancy, Tolkien and Douglas Adams. I tend to go through phases of reading lots but then I may not pick a book up for quite a while too. | | Heroes | I am not really one for heroes. I do own the Bowie album of that name however. |

As many of you already know, I work in health care and live in the Black country. I spend my spare time doing the normal things like listening to music, watching tv and going to the occasional concert, rugby or footie match (funds allowing).
I have recently developed an interest in foreign travel though for some odd reason only one country tends to spring to mind.
