    Some of the stuff that I am listening to at the moment: Placebo, Bach, Rammstein, Neil Young, Phil Glass, David Bowie, Michael Gordon, Sparks, Sensational Alex Harvey Band.

    I tend to favour action films, e.g. Mission Impossible, as a harmless way of passing a couple of hours. I also go for the Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon sort of film that combines action with magnificent settings and a story with a meaning.

    Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps Please (er... that's about it).

  • Books

    Anything by Philip Jose Farmer or Leslie Charteris, and most things by Neil Gaiman.

    Breast Cancer Charity Gig: calling Dorset musicians and entertainers

     

    please excuse the intrusion onto your Comments but.... Restless Natives http://www.myspace.com/restlessnativesindorset are involved in running this Dorset gig on August Bank Holiday.

    We have already booked a large marquee for the event and there will be a maximum audience of 200. Admission details for 200 lucky people to follow but it will be by making a donation to the Breast Cancer charity.

    Food and refreshments will be available most of the day and overnight camping is a strong possibility.

    Essential portaloos are booked.

    The plan is to start at 1pm and finish by midnight.

    I am very hopeful of securing at least one well known named act.

    I'm looking for 8 to 10 acts.  If any local band or entertainer wishes to help out (or you know someone who might) please get in touch with me.

    Since September 2006 has been stepwise released the set of Vladimír Hirsch main solo works, created in the period between 1997 and 2008, on 7 discs (500 copies each), partially separately, partially as a box set with the name

    The colletion represents the survey of development of author's creative effort in his concept of so called "integrated" musical form.

    All albums were performed by author, some of them with participation of
    Czech Integrated Ensemble and soloists Dove Hermosa (vocal, lyrics), Martina Sanollová & Dominika Karčovská (vocals). Mastered by Vohtěch Haňka, Dušan Vozáry and Jan Seibt. Produced by Tom Saivon.
    Recorded and mixed at CatchArrow recordings studio, Prague, Czechia. Unifyied covers design created by exceptional Czech conceptual photographer Jan Vávra, with cooperation of author. The collection of works was completed by releasing last two albums, May 15, 2009.
